It sure is Dave, it's going to cost BA millions. It's a holiday week end in UK. isc

Flew BA on one trip to UK and back years ago.
You'd need to point a loaded gun at me before I'd fly with them again.

Looks like the BA flight on a 757 I took from London to Rome except for the roomy seats , tray tables , food service , curtains , suits and ties . Yes just like it , but we did arrive in Rome which was the bonus.

All that's missing are the overtly gay cabin crew, the cramped seating, the only half-visible cabin video screen, the bits falling off the overhead luggage racks on take-off, the five hour wait on the tarmac in Perth, the unscheduled 12-hour maintenance hold-up at Bangkok . . . need I go on?

yes, unless you could wangle a transfer!!
Strangely , I have had good flights on some of the other " horror " airlines ; Easyjet , Pan Am , South West , and even United . More exciting were Garuda , Ecuadoriana, Avianca, Iraq Airways and Wairarapa .
Anyone flown Aeroflot ?

Wairarapa has an airline? Is that in a WWI plane? I cannot see that picture, by the way. Is anyone else not seeing it?

Wairarapa used to have an airline service. It was called Air New Zealand aka their subsidiary Eagle Air.
Air New Zealand repeatedly told Wairarapa folks how well the service was being supported and how it had one of the highest load factors in their network in the country (something I can relate to as I used the service several times a year and it was always either full, or occasionally with only one or two empty seats), but then after feeding that BS to the locals for a couple of years they suddenly claimed it was losing money and pulled the plug....just like that.
Some people at this group have claimed that even with a full load factor, the service would have been losing money. Which tells me that Air New Zealand deliberately priced it to lose money even when the flights were fully booked (how many businesses deliberately run themselves at a loss?), then told lies to Wairarapa people about how well it was doing, before pulling the plug because they were too gutless to own up to the fact they had been planning to shut down Eagle Air all along but weren't prepared to be honest about it until it was about to happen.
So there you have it....Wairarapa Airlines service aka Air New Zealand.

I have to agree, Peter. Travelling Singapore - London, 24 hours late, but didn't tell us until we arrived at the airport, leaving us with a scramble for accommodation. The cabin crew were as camp as a row of tents. Huge contrast after flying to Singapore with ANZ. Only saving grace was only 65 pax on first leg to Bahrain. Following year, flew Auckland - Los Angeles - London on ANZ 747, with ANZ crew to LA, then Bloody Awful to London. The difference in attitude and service was very noticeable.

I don't understand - how does the sexuality of cabin crew affect air travel? Two people have mentioned it now.
Also, does anyone know how the BA situation resolved? It's gone quiet and I've not seen any further news on it.

Maybe you are not handsome enough to get propositioned Zac, it is a bloke thing.... well pretty blokes.
It is one of those airlines I have never preferred flying with. Qantas and BA were allied and yet they were chalk and cheese.

Kiwi TJ , I was meaning the times of Wairarapa Airlines , on dark winter nights from AKL being vectored apparently by Ohakea radar and a slimey lime runway to slide on was not really fun.. I think they were an extension of Hansells . I lived in Caterton at the time with the HO in AKL so it was great for a day trip.

It's gone quiet and I've not seen any further news on it. Check the BBC News website. They are hoping to get short haul stuff going today from Heathrow. Gatwick was resolved yesterday. The folk trying to get from Europe to UK and other places seem to be forgotten. From a misty Holmfirth. R
