Just saw this one come up on Facebook, from of all things a museum conference gathering in Canada. I had no idea how many Anson parts were still lying around outside! At a glance the artwork is cool, but I can't help but want to get all those great parts under cover and actually looked after, rather than lying in the grass. www.keithharder.com/project/gallery-for-gravitas-sculpture/

That's very cool. A neat tribute and very artistic. I'm sure I saw this come up a few years ago.

Are they definitely Anson bits. I am aware the tubular fuselage is similar to an Anson. But the engine nacelle's are not fluted like Anson, and the prop. boss is entirely different, almost looks like a variable pitch boss. The nacelle's are the same as Oxford. And while they are Cheetah engines, there is something different about them, perhaps the experts on here can help. Or did Canada have a different variant of Anson.

High horse anyone? The parts were all sitting in a paddock before being re-purposed - they are still sitting in a paddock - how's that vandalism?
and Rone - I think you're right (if my memory is correct) - pretty sure there are parts/assemblies other than Ansons there - maybe Bobcat/Crane or something similar?

That's cool, although I would prefer to see them restored! That's quite a lot of Anson airframes and parts. They certainly are Ansons with different engines (Pratt & Whitney 985) and smooth cowls as used by the CanadianAir Force. Link here

Dave, do you have photos of Don wandering through the Nanton boneyard? You could put them in the Don Subritzky photo thread. There are a ton of Ansons over here. Nanton had lots and still has lots of Anson bits and pieces. My local Museum in Langley BC has a fully restored Anson. Not the Cheetah version, haven't seen one of those here, the P&W version. There are enough of them preserved that using some for a project like this really doesn't affect the overall survival of the type. If you want an Anson or parts thereof, come get one. They were rotting in a field in a pile. Now they're rotting in a field looking pretty
