Hi all
Does someone on here have first-hand experience of flying with Aerosales at PP?
It was just before my time and I'm interested in talking to anyone about their operations
Cheers

Hi Thomarse, I had no first hand experience with NZ Aerosales Flying School at PP but did visit Paul a couple of times when he was operating there. I believe he initially established the business while he was living in the S.I and later moved to PP. As far as my knowledge goes he operated three aircraft there, a MS880B Ralye and two Gardan GY-80 Horizons, ZK-CLK and CFT. He operated from PP for about three years before moving to Australia.I have no idea if the business folded or was sold however another flying school (Sinclair Flying School) operated from PP in the sixties by a former Wellington Aero Club instructor Bob Sinclair. Perhaps he bought out Paul's School and renamed it?

Thanks MM Looks like they actually operated 3 Rallyes, CGZ, CKK and CKL. It must therefore have been quite a big operation. rnzaf.proboards.com/thread/18137/morane-saulnier-rallyeYou're correct, I think NZAS started in Oamaru I'm guessing that when PB-L decided to quit, he sold to the Auckland Flying School as two of the Aerosales staff Harry Jenkins and Gerry Fry were the founding staff of the Paraparaumu Branch of the AFS Any further info would be welcomed Cheers

Thanks Thomarse for the additional info.
I have a colour images of one of Aerosales Rallyes, (unidentifiable) and images of of CLK which was named "Cherie" and CFT named Tahatu

Mike Tavener was the front man at Paparaumu in the day. Don't remember P B-L being around much. Seem to remember that at one stage both schools were operating there.
