Hi Guys Looking for some info. I came across this entry on Wikis P51 page (I know) ..."and at least one New Zealand pilot scored victories over Europe while on loan to a USAAF P-51 squadron".
any ideas who he is? More importantly is there any info on his Mustang was it B/C or a D. Serial codes, camouflage, personal markings.
This would give the perfect excuse to get the new Airfix P-51.
Or is this a wild goose chase?
Thanks

It was Jack Cleland, serving with Chuck Yeagher's squadron, and flying P-51D B6-B 'Isabel III' which at one stage Sir Tim Wallis's Mustang was painted as, and also the P-51D in the RAF Museum wears the same colours. See this older thread: rnzaf.proboards.com/thread/1309/rnzaf-51d-pilots-wwii
