Morning all, I'm flying PER - Brisbane tomorrow, and Virgin have just emailed me about their new Wifi entertainment system.
I had some concerns about this, having read some reviews but couldnt really get a straight answer from their help desk....
Sooooo, if anyone can help I'd certainly appreciate it:
- Can you use bluetooth headphones when using their entertainment app? I wouldn't mind catching a movie or two, but if I cant use my headphones I'll have to get another set. - Are there USB charging ports on the seats? Not much point using my phone to watch movies if the battery runs out quick smart... - Apparently on the 737-800 they dont even have seatback screens, so it appears that its the phone or nothing. I dont have a tablet, and I suspect my computer will not be compatible.
Anyone used it before? Thoughts? Cheers!

They will give you a tablet, turn it on and leave you to work out how it works. (March 2016). Code share with ANZ and service JetStar standard. Mind you I've given up on ANZ A320 flights, all the passengers with seat only munching biscuits and the Indians bring along curry and rice! Virgin lost some bags ex Perth reported in Dom-Post the other day. www.stuff.co.nz/business/industries/100286661/lost-luggage-woes-poorly-handled-by-virgin-australia-passengers-complain

Used it a number of times, my new firm seems hellbent on sending me on VA rather than QF Just make sure you download the app first, they don't always have enough iPads to go around, best to take your own. No worries using bluetooth headphones either - I don't travel anywhere without my iPad and Bose '35s these days And yes, they have USB outlets in each seat for charging. But you are probably airborne now and not reading this
