Found this Cobi outfit a wee while ago, ordered a little something for Santa to bring along. Finished model is about 42cm span, purchased from Ebay and landed in Aus for about AUS$65. Only in the tropics and it was called 'delamination'.
Actually this model almost looks more like the Argentine mosquito-type aircraft,the Calquin.

I see that Airfix now have a series of 'models' called the QUICK BUILD range which are less complex but similar, in that they are snap together components "compatible with other major plastic building block brands". There is a Spitfire, P-51 and Bf-109 in the series, along with a few jets, cars and tanks etc. I saw a couple in the local Warehouse.
