Flying Heritage & Combat Armor Museum test running their Jumo 004 engine for the first time on the Me262. Apparently this is the first time since 1947 that this 262 has had Jumo 004 engines running on it.

That was very cool so she's a real restored 262 or a new build?

That was very cool so she's a real restored 262 or a new build? The original post from FHC (see below) said: "Getting ready to do the first run up of the Me 262! 1947 was the last time these engines were run on this aircraft!". Therefore, I would presume that it is an original aircraft.

Quite a feat of engineering as the engines are original too but parts upgraded using modern materials which the Germans were denied at the time.

That was interesting, thats the first time I've ever heard the 2 stroke starter motors that were used to start the engines.Must have been deafening when the whole squadron started up.

It sounds like a real jet , I seem to remember hearing a Meteor ( sound film ) and it was more like a tin whistle.
