An update on the Spitfire Aircraft Company, the owner Russ Harmuth recently retired and I have opened a new web site to assist the existing builders around the world and any new builders that want to build their own Spitfire. The new site is spitfireaircraftworkshop.com and I operate out of a workshop in Onehunga Auckland. I was builder number 2 in the previous company and we have another Spitfire builder about to start his project in Taupo.
We are going to be importing a Ryan Navion into Ardmore very soon, the shares have been up on Trademe and the response has been excellent, there are only a few shares left so we are well on track to bring the first Navion to be registered in New Zealand to Auckland. It is almost fully restored (by Russ) and we will have the avionics wired in locally.
Some of you may recall the Boeing Stearman that Paul Homes managed to wreck a few years ago, it was another Russ Harmuth Golden Wrench winner he called "The General", I had intended to have only 5 members in the syndicate but as things progressed Paul wanted to own it outright, so I sold it to him. It is close to flying again with the current owner, another Russ doing an amazing job of it's refurbishment.

I've followed SAC for many years and have been awaiting the first example taking flight so it's exciting to hear of the changes and the firm's Kiwi home. Likewise Bruce I've been curious about your project for as long, so I'm excited to see progress!

I know the "other Russ" and have followed his rebuild of the Stearman. It's absolutely looking spectacular. I am petty sure Russ reads this forum too.

Great news Bruce. Due to your inspiration and encouragement I have become a taildragger pilot and aircraft owner. I hope Russ will now have the time and resources to finish his Spitfire, and that yours will soon follow.
