It would be interesting to know if any New Zealand aircrew or ship's crew were aboard HMS Victorious during her secondment to the US Navy fleet to attack Rabaul in 1943, during which she became known as the USS Robin?
One of the replies to this article states the aircrew were all Royal Navy Fleet Air Arm men, so it is possible there were some Kiwis among them, and also lots of New Zealanders served on the British fleet carriers as officers and crew too.
