I see the tender for offers on ZK-COR ended last Sunday, I wonder if they had any offers. Full page ad in latest Classic Wings Downunder - closes 6 December

Today was the last day to tender for this aircraft.
I wonder who the lucky bidder will be, and which country it will go to.

Will be very surprised if it stays here. I hope I’m wrong.

Hope she stays in New Zealand or at least ends up in her original RNZAF markings, if to the States with the Tristate Museum alongside NZ 3119, or maybe to Oz and she files the ditch to get there, yep dreams are free!

With luck there will be legal impediments preventing its export

To me this is the biggest and most concerning issue NZ has ever faced. Does anyone have any inside information as to how the tender process went?

Its obvious extreme high value puts it in the league of a select few. And then, of those who could fund it, one has to want it enough. And then operate it. Huge thing to take on.

Plus the huge bill to overhaul it after sitting so many years.

Hi All, still nothing on the sale of this beauty?? Whilst it was stored was it also inhibited, any systems cycled, kept full of fuel, certainly hope so especially the cylinders!

There is no point asking such questions here I am afraid. Everything about the aircraft, like everything Jackson does, is kept secret. He does not like people prying into his business. And anyone who does know the answers will be told not to talk about it. The only advice is just wait and see.

True Dave, I was more interested in any preservation it might have had whilst stored, it could certainly save you 18 cylinders on an engine rebuild
