Hi folks I'm new here but have a love of military aircraft and being an Airforce brat grew up with lots of different types of aircraft in the inventory.
Question I have is, does any one have a clear picture or know what colour the firewalls of RNZAF MR 5 Sunderlands were?
RAF MR 5's appear to be black, but I don't have a clear picture of any RNZAF firewalls.
Any/all comments/pieces of wisdom welcome.
As an aside topic I have embarked on a building mission of a RNZAF 488 sqn Buffalo Mk I 1/32 scale also
I'll keep you informed
Thanks/regards
Alan

Welcome to the forum Alan. I can'rt help with the answer but hopefully someone here can.
I'm looking forward to seeing both the Sunderland and the Buffalo. Don't hesitate to post progress shots as well as the finished items. Cheers.

What exactly do you mean by firewall? The panel just behind the engine(s)?

From the horses mouth: Looks like white paint with a liberal coating of oil and exhaust gases to me!
