Boeing 707 A20-261, c/n 21261, has been sold. Last flew in RAAF service on August 24, 2006 from Richmond to Amberley. It was registered as N707QJ on July 12, 2007 and test flown on July 16 at 12.30. Departed for Dawin same day at 16.45. Departed Darwin at 12.50 on July 17, heading for the UK. Reported to have Turbine Leasing decal and the nose art remained on the a/c. This was the last pax configured 707 in the fleet. The remaining 707 fleet are to be withdrawn by June 30, 2008.

Yep, the B707 era is coming to an end. I'll miss hearing the high pitched scream of the engines, but I bet they won't be missed by most of the population of Richmond.
