This may be of interest to some forum members. Had one of those rare days with nothing much happening and the family away so I thought I'd finally try out the Sony Vegas editing program that's been sitting on my pc and laptop for a couple of months untouched. As an introduction to the world of digital video editing I thought I'd try a little project instead of just mucking around. After browsing Dave's website and taking into consideration that my great-uncle Lloyd Kelly was almost 21 years younger than I am now when he was shot down, the idea of making a tribute to those who would never grow old sprang to mind. The end result involved "borrowing" a few scenes from the DVD Dark Blue World with the song Forever Young as a base. A very low resolution version can be seen here ..... s85.photobucket.com/albums/k52/stu_65/?action=view¤t=dbw_2.flvI'll be rendering a high quality DVD version once I've corrected the aspect ratio and a couple of edits that are bothering me so if anyone is so inclined that they want a copy give me a yell. Cheers, Stu.

Oh wow! Spine-tingling. Beautiful. I'll take a DVD copy please.
I must try to upload a couple of slide shows I made with ProShow Gold edit suite. One features WoW images from 2006 with Jogn Denver's "I am the Eagle"and the other is a selection of shots from my air-to-air sorties backed by a Celine Dion strident song about flight. The only thing which concerns me is the use of copyright material. At least it will be fun in jail with other aviation buffs!

Thanks Peter, email me your address and I'll get one off to you asap. I've just uploaded a slightly better (and larger) version at s85.photobucket.com/albums/k52/stu_65/?action=view¤t=dbw.flv Hmmm, yes .... the copyright issue. To the best of my knowledge it's still illegal to even record a program off the telly onto your vcr or copy your legally purchased cds onto an ipod/mp3 player (or even cassette) for your own use. I also hear that the copyright laws are up for review lest 99% of the population be found to have broken the law. Cheers, Stu.

Hi Stu,
Many thanks for the copy. Absolutely beautiful. The BoB audio sounds good, too.
Cheers
Peter

Hi Peter, no problem - glad you liked it and it got there in one piece. Thought I'd add the BoB audio as well as there was still plenty of space on the DVD. We'll have to get one done for the Thunder Mustang ..... Simon? Cheers, Stu.
