I note that a new series of This Is Your Life is now underway. The subject last week was Mark Lngles, who personally I wasn't that interested in so switched off.
But thinkign about it, the only aviation related subjects I can think of who've been done so far were Wg Comm Johnny Checketts in 1987, and Sir Ed Hillary who was in the wartime RNZAF. Have any others been done?
Who would you like to see done from the NZ aviation world? I cannot help thinking what a shame they didn't do Ozzie James before he died. His vast contribution to NZ was huge compared with the likes of Ingles or other sports people.

Indeed, a prime candidate. And also I guess is Peter Jackson though I guess he'd hate the personal intrusion as I hear he's a very shy and modest person.

Have any others been done? Fred Ladd back in the 80s ....... didn't actually see the show but Bob Parker, a cameraman and myself as sound op hid in wait for him on a Bay of Plenty airfield to film the opening sequence for the show. The rest was done in the studio later while we went back to our day to day news gathering. The location of the airfield eludes me at the moment but Centennial Park, Taupo rings a bell for some reason. Cheers, Stu

I never knew Fred Ladd had been done. That would have been a great one to see. I wish TVNZ or Bob Parker (who owns the show) would release the old episodes as sets on DVD.
