That's sad to hear. I would have hoped people working around aeroplanes would be enthusiasts too, or at the very least sympathetic to enthusiasts. Doing no harm, in fact they are actually promoting the activities of the airport at which the aircraft are being 'spotted'. Free advertising? Christchurch has that roof area, they seem to have no problem with photographers. That is if the roof area is still there?

Re the Cayman 737, it does not appear to have the hush kit?

flyjoe180 the roof area at CHC will go when the terminal opens if it hasn't already? Royal Netherlands Air Force Dc 10 at Auckland. Sorry it was very wet and ANZ 773 OKM was parked right next to it so hard to get a pic. How long is it since a Dc 10 was at AKL? Cheers

Interesting subject there guys, thanks. Our 757s look swish compared to the old DC10.

I followed the 747 on Flightradar24.com after taking off from Auckland. It overflew Tauranga at FL300 before heading out to sea.

One thing overseas visitors or overseas bases always said was, we keep our aircraft very tidy. That DC10 is rather shabby in the paint department.

This one has been here a few times and first time I have caught it. Only reason I went out today was to catch up with Bob Leask and his wife Rong (who was on it) so a lucky coincidence. Cheers

Nice Pic of the beast Colin, it was my ride back to NZ on that day..back home for a bit of R and R + family time. Was a near run thing getting on the flight..back into Dubai after operatig back from FRA, landed at 9.15am (this AKL service leaves dubai at 10.15am from memory) followed by a mad dash from EK HQ, into a taxi to terminal 3 at DXB..into staff travel..check in..immigration..then about a 2k dash to the gate..getting there 2 mins before the doors closed..all while still in uniform! Made the first glass of merlot taste all the better sat in "J" class :-)

New for me but here for a short while now is the Boeing 777 of Royal Brunei replacing the 767 they used before. I think they have 6 in the fleet and this one is V8-BLF. Cheers Royal Brunei suspends Auckland In a sudden move recently, Royal Brunei Airlines has decided it will no longer fly to Auckland after October. Passengers who have purchased tickets for travel on affected flights are being asked to contact agents where they purchased their tickets or the local ticketing office. Flight Centre air contracting manager James Brooker said it is disappointing to hear of BI leaving the NZ market. “They have been able to deliver price-leading fares to a variety of Asian and UK destinations, which has stimulated growth." full item here: www.traveltrade.co.nz/LatestNews/TraveltradeArticles/tabid/342/articleType/ArticleView/articleId/2159/Royal-Brunei-suspends-Auckland.aspx

For all you aviation buffs out there... DHL's new B757 G-CSVS is due to arrive at AA on Sunday about 1pm. They'll be parking both of the 757's on their apron for a week or so until the other one departs.
