In reply to Kiwithrottlejockey, the V-Jet insignia was not on QF aircraft when they had the ochre stripe on the fuselage as shown on B737-838 VH-XZP as above. It was on the aircraft when they had the red stripe, which was the earlier livery.

For all Boeing fans the first Boeing 747-8 Intercontinental to visit New Zealand arrived today at Auckland Airport. Korean Air use the 747-400 during summer season and I guess they are being replaced with the new 747-8 as HL7633 which arrived today is just over a month old since delivery. There be another one (different reg) coming in on Friday. Very quiet aircraft and a bit longer than the old ones. Pic of take off taken from Puhinui Reserve. Cheers, Colin

N757HW Honeywell testbed aircraft is in NZ at the moment testing WiFi to satellite communication equipment. It also has an engine mount just behind the cockpit on the starboard side where they test new engines for business jets. Cheers, Colin

Yeah I was aware they were training in the USA. So we get to see the P-8 in public before the Aussies, nice!

Drove through the precincts of AA yesterday on my funeral-organizing activities, and as a distraction I managed to photograph these two newcomers: Boeing 787-9 ZK-NZI/2 Airbus A320-232 ZK-OXM

Nice photos Peter! FYI ZK-NZK is the latest Dreamliner and has been in the loop since mid October.

Quite correct. So caught up with Boeing 787-9 ZK-NZK/2 as it arrived from Nandi yesterday afternoon Also parked out at the ANZ compound at that time was this just-retired anonymous 767. By a process of elimination - based on the fact that it has not been active since the end of October - I deduce that this is ZK-NCJ. So that will apparently leave just two 767s in ANZ service - ZK-NCG and ZK-NCI
