Someone pointed out to me that if you type aviation photography in google, I come up as the first entry followed by David Morrell. We both beat Airwankers.net. So I checked, and I do.

There is a filter. It's there when you get a forum, set up by Proboards, but I have the power to delete any that i don't think are too rude - that's why so many Helen Clark expetives get through.
However the rest, the really bad ones, I have tried to give avaition themes for the replacement. Some may have noticed the other day RobinK innocently wrote the two words 'coast watchers' as one word and the rude word in the middle became TWA (which i understand was an olden days airline). Robin then altered his text to two words so it didn't wreck his text.
Amazingly most of the other substitutes haven't shown up yet, so we must be a fairly clean bunch!

How do you get a screen grab of your screen? I've never worked that out.

How do you get a screen grab of your screen? I've never worked that out. For a PC using Windows check this site. www.datapath.co.uk/how%20to%201.htmMac is a bit different. Press apple key, shift key and number 4 key and the cursor will change shape. Draw over the area you want to capture and let go and there will be a pic wherever you save default files too. There is another way too to just capture the whole screen but I seldom use it and can't remember the keys off hand. Colin

I enjoy looking through the Aussie and NZ contributions and I think I have one on there too. Just been too busy to upload more for now. Keep up the good work. Cheers, Colin

It looks to me like it's the difference between 'google.co.nz' and 'google.com.au'.

And it doesnt appear to matter what you type into the web address bar, it will always detect where you are and use a 'local' Google!

Thanks Colin, I worked out the screen grab thing now. I decided to see how high this forum is on Google so used what i thought was the obvious keywords of "new Zealand aviation forum" This is what comes up at the top A new forum I'd never heard of, which has just one post, tops the hits!! Then some white noise, unrealted stuff, and further down the page was the SAANZ forum which is so static it's like watching paint dry following it. I don't know why this forum doesn't figure higher in the list. When you do googles for stuff mentioned on the forum threads come up readily, just not when you look for the main gist of the site. This is the most used and most wide ranging forum I've ever found on NZ aviation matters. At any given time, even 3am, you'll see users and browers, lots and lots of guests read the forum while we sleep. It is popular with many even if only the minority of us post here. But you'd think that all that activity would rate more highly than the forum with one post...

At least you would be paid!
Have you taken a look at what is available with your site's key words?

That is Hugh Mittons web site. Now if you ask for "Wings over New Zealand" guess what comes up? Colin

I'm not sure if I can do anything regarding key words for the site. It's all automatic.

Interesting - thanks Colin, I didn't see that post before.
It's ok if you know the site already but for someone that's never been here and looking for a NZ aviation forum, that's where we miss out. Oh well.

Its easier to find your main site Dave. When people ask for the www for this forum I can never remember, I just refer them to the Cambridge site and tell them to scroll down to the link, which can be missed quite easily. May I suggest a larger (logo) link towards the top of the Cambridge home page?
