Great shots. Is it humidity that causes that?

Great Photos Dave I as far as I recall (some years ago now Meteorology 101) at Uni we did some tests on wet/dry air The fan effect of the air screws passing the moist air rearward cools it and the vortices's cause the condensation to create circles I have a photo in a Modeling mag of a FAA Corsair taking off from a carrier deck and there are about 4-5 condensation circles quite neat to look at regards Alan

Of course it would be neat to look at - it is a photo of a Corsair after all! ;D I've seen some great photos of USN Skyraiders and Corsairs with the same effects. By the way - wonderful images of the Herk, Gavin.

would like to see that photo and like Craig said it will be good if it is a Corsair. Here is a shot I took in 05 of a Corsair with a differnt type of contrail, looked good pulling through the vertical.

Nice old Corsair shot, but I have to say Gavin's Corsair photo beats them, very dramatic mate!

I've got props rings off the Dash out high power running it, at night so had the landing lights on which lit them up very nicely.
