Teletext is reporting that a Cessna 210 and its hangar have been burned by an arsonist on the Arnold Valley Road near Greymouth, causing $100,000 worth of damage. The police found a lot of accelerant was used, and believe it to be arson. The owner lives in Christchurch and wasn't present when this happened on the weekend.

The single-engine Cessna 210 was burnt while in its hangar over the weekend. The hangar, which is in a very remote area off Arnold Valley Road, was damaged by the intensity of the blaze. Greymouth detective Duncan Bull says the plane had a large amount of accelerant in it. The owner of the plane lives in Christchurch and was away at the time of the fire.

Seems theres been a few arsons over that way, must be something in the air? ;D
Boy if that was my plane, what I wouldnt do.....
