From a CTC webblog: Drama on the apron Thursday, 12 June 2008 Yesterday must’ve set some kind of new record, with 3 aeroplanes being broken in one day! Someone managed to hit the marker boards at the end of the grass runway (pretty easily done), resulting in some broken spats on one of the Cessnas. Later on, someone else decided to fire up their Alpha too close to the edge of a taxiway- when someone else taxied past in their Cessna they promptly had the end of their wing sawn off by the other aircraft’s prop. Oops. Luckily no-one was hurt (save a bit of pride maybe), but it was amazing to hear the stories of how easily the prop cut through the wingtip-like butter apparently. Here’s some piccys.
