Great photos there Gav. That last could easily pass for Wigram in the early 1990's with the Friendly and 3 Det wockas.

I think I remember they were a locally made combination step and also a mount for stokes litter transport KC

Yes, I thought I recalled they were for the Stokes Litter too but wasn't sure so didn't say so. Don or someone else who served on No. 3 Squadron might be able to confirm.
For those who don't know, the Stokes Litter is the metal basket type stretcher for carrying patients, you often see it on news items where injured trampers are carried out by RNZAF crews from bush, etc.
