I have just realised that the famous 'mix up' where the Meteor and Beaver were given the same serial number by mistake actually pales in comparision to this:- Blackburn Baffin serials NZ150-NZ178 nz-serials.adf-serials.com/nz150.shtmlSupermarine Walrus serials: NZ151-NZ160!! nz-serials.adf-serials.com/nz151.shtmlTen aircraft in a row with the very same serial numbers! How did this happen? And why has no-one mentioned it before?

NZ300 - 305 serials were allocated to the first Wellington Mark Is for the RNZAF, and these were also used on Vickers Vincents. Surprising the time periods would just about overlap.

Amazing isn't it. They would indeed overlap, both were in service from June 1939. Both types were intended to be based at Whenuapai at that time too! I'm not sure if Vincents were originally to go to Ohakea but some did later.
