United Air Lines has been in and out of Chapter11 bankruptcy protection since 2001 Dave, but it still exists. Their last bad news was a few months ago when they laid off over a 1,000 pilots.

You may have heard a few North American accents on our domestic routes lately. That explains why I've been hearing North American accents on QF37/38, 47/48, & 57/58 (Wellington to SYD/MEL/BNE operated by Jetconnect) lately.
