On TradeMe www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/Aircraft/auction-187579951.htmInteresting. My understanding was this aircraft was to move to Tauranga along with his military vehicle collection. Obviously not now. Though not exactly an important part of NZ aviaition history I hope it at least finds a good home and is preserved properly.

I love the "Seller allows pick ups" - as opposed to postage? ;D

I'd love to do something with it, I just cant afford it and dont have anywhere to put it!
It actually is quite significant historically as it was really the aircraft that led the way in NZ airline deregulation. At one time you couldnt compete with an established airline unless they gave you permission! Eagle lead the way in the early 1980s into the deregulated market by importing a brand new cummuter turboprop, which meant that it could provide similar comfort levels to the "big boys" at a cost that was commercially realistic (before then operators were stuck with Chieftains and the like...). The bandit turned into one of the most effective airliner types ever to serve in NZ. The aircraft may well be boring, but very significant.

Dr Baldwin in Palmerston North has a Bandeirante next to his hangar. Not related, but a mate took these photos of a Bandeirante and a Metro in a paddock recently:

Its one of my ex CityJet bandits - KML I would be guessing (TZL is at Hamilton and TZM and TZM went to Eagle) whereabouts is it?

Might have less nosewheel shimmy than KML had when she was in service!
