I thought I would add this to record some pics around Auckland during the week end celebrations. Early in the afternoon I got this shot of Team NZ doing some sailing. I got quite a few shots of the fireworks and these two are a sample. A pic of the city before going home. Cheers and have a great week end. Colin

lovely, looks great. note that the IACC yachts now no longer carry "Americas Cup" logos on thier sails - Louis Voutton really got P...d off with the Americas cup corporation and the fiasco that silly game became (and I wouldnt blame them) good to see such awesome boats out racing again.

Probably some Chinaman now Shorty. Who's turned it into some trendy hippy latte and cocktail bar and tripled the prices. Love the photos though Colin.

Someone has stolen the Tecnam! Had ZK-JAX booked for yesterday afternoon, a perfect day weatherwise. Went out to Ardmore - where's the aircraft? Nobody knows. It's not at the aeroclub. It's not at the Tecnam dealers. No other bookings. No trace of it anywhere. Even Peanut the club cat doesn't know. Quite ruined my weekend. So if you see Tecnam Sierra ZK-JAX under a tree somewhere, please advise.

She was gone by the time I returned up the harbour around 3. You didn't happen to get any pics of a large fast-moving pink sailing catamaran did you?

She left about 2:30 pm and was back at the Naval Base by 3:00 pm. Does it look like Sundreamer? I got a couple of shots of it on 23 January at 17:20 passing North Head. I saw it on Monday but it was too far away for my lens to get a decent shot. Cheers

You lucky, lucky bastard. I have always admired Sundreamer ever since I was a nipper with a P-class, having first seen her in a DB yachting annual. The closest I ever got was a mental Hobie 16', with a spinnaker kit my mate bought in from the 'States we used to overtake powerboats. ;D
