Well... What a lot of debate! I decided to change the title before somebody hurt themselves Teach me to over simplify a title. Anyway, here's a few pics of what I did on the inside. Old cockpit next to the scratch-built one: New pit in place; Cheers and thanks for looking. RNZAF P-40 will be up next (Yes, real RNZAF) but you will have to wait till about May, there's a few others on the bench in the mean time.

Well... What a lot of debate! I decided to change the title before somebody hurt themselves Teach me to over simplify a title. That's the great thing about this forum! Someone poses a question/comment etc and it all goes into the pot and we come out being intellectually fed and much wiser on something we perhaps knew nothing, a little or a lot about. I love it!!!! ;D

Really nice work there Keith. We enjoy a bit of discussion here, it's good to have a great knowledge base out there so we all learn a bit along the way.
I'm looking forward to the P-40.
I think Paul this thread had better stay in the modelling section, but feel free to post a new thread over in the wartime RNZAF section with a link to this discussion if you want.

Dave,
a quick response to RNZAF HQ London. 1. Yes that unit was formed to look after the general welfare and employment by the RAF of New Zealanders. Bill Jordan was the High Commissioner 2. He had a direct line back to the NZ Government to lobby for inappropriate use of NZ Squadrons etc. There is good dialogue on the archive file relating to the decision to withdraw No.75 Squadron from operations (Stirling era) and the delay in returning them to front line duties with Lancasters. 3. A similar arrangement existed with Freyberg who had direct lines of communication with the NZ Government to challenge any stupid ideas by the Brits
