Hi all
When the P40 E's began to arrive in New Zealand circa April 1942 onward, did they have any "official nomclamenture" specifying their camouflage colours (eg Erection & maintenance manual etc) that exists today?
My reason for asking is that on another forum I belong to, there is some discussion as to RAF aircraft purchased by Britain's MAP (Min. Aircraft Procurement) circa 1940 and P 40 camouflage colours (US Equivalent to British Air ministry Spec.s).
The RNZAF received some of these aircraft and they would have been painted in US "Equivalent" colours.
Does any of this "official" documentation exist today and where might one obtain such records
I know Peter Mossong on his site has a subsection for WWII RNZAF paints and quotes Dupont colours/descriptions of said paints.
Thanks
Alan

Alan,
My suggestion is you should write an email to the Air Force Museum at Wigram and direct it to Barf. He's the civilian ex-Safety and Surface chap who handles all the paint scheme queries and has all these records and things at his very fingertips and he tells me he's always willing to help. I'm sure he'll find the answers.
Cheers Dave
