More top work! Absolutely loved each of your photos in the latest Classic Wings. That second shot of the Kittyhawk is amazing! And the Be shot is very atmospheric.

That first shot of the Spitfire is a gem. Almost poetic...
And the BE2 just looks beautiful in that light.

That 1st Spitfire photo is THE most beautiful Spitfire shot I think I have ever seen. Mr Makanna would be proud of that one I'm sure. And you managed to fit Eggie in as well ... just perfect.

It looked quite neat seeing the mountain tower above the clouds. We were at 4500ft when the photo was taken.

The Be2.f shot is superb. I do prefer my P40's with shark's mouth up front personally. Both Spitfire shots are great, nice how you positioned Mt Taranaki between the prop blades.....

One thing I had wondered about on the paint scheme for the Spitfire. There are no 'kill' markings and I wondered whether this reflected how the aircraft was when Al Deere was a Wing Cdr, not the done thing nowadays or did Al Deere himself not go for that kind of thing?

That is an interesting point. Pics I've seen of the various "KIWI" aircraft also didn't seem to feature scoreboards.

Maybe he didn't like the practice. Some pilots didn't want to even keep count of their score. There were more aces out there than the scoreboard shows (oh, and a lot of aces on the scoreboard didn't actually get near the total they claimed either but that's another matter).

That is a good point that I noticed as well but forgot to ask for the actual reason but Brendon might be down our way in a week or two so will find out and post the answer here if it hasnt already been answered.
