Oh, I simply love the little aeroplane clip.
You simply must tell me where you got it.

Was it common to paint rows of mission markers so they were parallel with the ground? Or is it just bad artwork on the box?

Nice work so far. Take care with the wings as if you follow the instructions they can be problematical. Two ways to make them easier are to build the outer panels without the walls or to build the full span top and bottom separately then join them together. Of course you may have no problems it could just be me. Good luck.

If I recall correctly that particular F4U-1A set some record for the number of hours flown, without having to undergo any major servicing or repairs.
Update: I was kinda right!
Apparently this particular Marine Corsair flew 100 missions without ever having to abort a mission due to mechanical problems.

Cheers guys for the welcome and the compliments
Silverfox -got the wings on today and yup I followed the instructions and yup I ran into trouble pretty quick -a frustrating hour later I got it all looking fairly ok ,also got the flaps all on which were another pain cause they're designed to be built down
No pics today -possibly tomorrow If I can get some more done

That looks great, especially with the prop spinning! Is that a motor inside or a fan turning the prop?
It looks like the pilot has decided to jump though! ;D
Nice work though, very evocative and nice to see some creativity with the display
