Hi all A while back I went mad and bought a monster-load of kits that can now be procured only from overseas (as far as I know), one of which being the Heller 1:48 Squirrel waterbomber. This kit comes not only with low skids but also the more common tall ones, as well as a water tank and associated piping, mirrors etc....perfect for an ag AS350! It was a no-brainer. After WAW bought Squirrell s/n9000 ZK-HFA in 2001 I knew I wanted a kit of her (helped that a mate of dad's flew her). This time last year HFA received a repaint into this new scheme: These shots were taken one lunchtime earlier this year, photos by dad, me in the backseat ;D I love work! A big bonus on this scheme is its very simple to paint, and so I decided to unearth my Squirrel kit and get to it. Currently the kit is at work while I take advantage of the spray booth. I had some silver spray which has failed to capture the silver-grey of the real thing, so I may end up getting something closer. I have an ideal blue (although Dave The Painter tells me its actually four or five shades mixed), just need some white....and of course to get some decals made! Any takers? Pics later today when I bring the kit home to mask the blue.
