Apparently PacBlue are going to be doing a promotional flight over both Tauranga and Hamilton on Monday 31st August.
Departing Auckland at about 1545 (local) and overflying TG first (at 1500ft) then to Hamilton to overfly the city (again at 1500ft) before landing at Hamilton. Might be low-ish level VFR between TG and HN. Might be interesting to see a 737-800 on the South Arrival mixing it with Katanas, C172s, PornStars, etc!!
There will be the usual load of dignitories aboard and no doubt HN Rescue Fire will welcome the aircraft in the usual manner.
Could be a good photo op?!

Interesting videos VGP, ta. Definite noise difference between the -800 and -200 coal burner. That yellow scheme makes me feel ill whenever I see it.

Keep an eye on the all new news programme on Central TV (Waikato and Bay of Plenty's local station) as my best mate is the camera guy who filmed this event yesterday, so it may be on tonight's show.

That explains why I saw the PacBlue jet shoot a circuit at the airport, there was also an Air Force 767 doing the same, not often you see 2 jets over Tauranga at the same time.

I suppose if someone was color blind it would look great but I am not color blind so would have to agree with you on that one.

The 737-200 NQC, Fokkers NAO, PAX, POH, and Metroliners POE, POF and POB are all destined to wear the Express Couriers Limited fleet scheme, just like the courier vans.

Poolguy I presume you mean an Airforce 757 doing an approach as unless they have swapped one for one of ANZ's 767's they have not got any of their own. Cheers Bazza
