Hi All. This is the first plane i have posted pics of. I've noticed not many people do not do commercial aircraft of NZ, so i am planning on doing some NAC aircraft, the friendship, DC3, and dominie, and i have finished a Viscount. This is a 1/96 scale Vickers Viscount. I painted it with the help of the brilliant NAC book, which which was recently released. I made the decals myself. I am not a brilliant modeler, or a rivet counter, but i enjoyed making it, and i hope you enjoy the pics. Enjoy.

Is this the old Revell kit? Great work! I do like the Viscount, and you've captured the NAC colours very nicely. Fine model!

Its a "Glencoe Models" model. Unusual scale being 1/97

Its a "Glencoe Models" model. Unusual scale being 1/97 It's close enough to 1/100 as to make no odds, but it is likely that this kit was moulded in what is known as 'Box Scale'. Box Scale kits had their scale selected in order that the kit would fit in a standard box size. Kit manufacturers standardising all of their products into scales like 1/72 or 1/48 didn't really become the norm until somewhere around the late 60's IIRC. Nice work by the way:)

Lovely Viscount model, and like others, I too enjoy seeing these NZ civil themes.
