Nice work Chris. You have certainly come a long way since the antics we got up to in High School..........I dont think I laughed so much in class than when I was in metalwork with you!! Cheers Anthony Thanks Anthony, I guess making a trolley-jack and machining the wheels so they were actually off the ground rather than making it roll was a "slight oversight"..... ;D ;D ;D

What would it cost approx? Around $200 - $250 with an anodised finish and an analogue clock fitted.

Thanks for the great feedback. I enjoy doing this and it is great to see hard work appear into something really classy.

Greetings, Haven't been on here for a while...yes, require kick up butt !!! Thought you peoples may be interested in a wee project I made for fellow member "NZ1009". I don't think he'd mind me showing this off. He wanted a alloy template of a Harvard pic he really liked. So, I spent many hours behind the computer CAD doing this and then got CNC machined out from 3mm alloy. Then was silver anodised and painted to suit. Bear in mind the flash of the camera makes the colours appear lighter than it is. I was very pleased with the end result as was he.

Well I enjoyed that series of "Generation Kill". Pity no military series to take it's place next Monday.

Anyone been watching this ?
Great series about Buffalo Airways on National Geographic channel Sunday nights. A struggling airline that flys DC-3s/4s, C-46's and Electras.
Showed a great one last night where a trainee Turkish pilot forgot to lower the undercart on a CL-215 Waterbomber and bellied it into the runway !!

Very sad episode last night,...I errr...ummm,...ahh may have had a tear in my eye, esp when the Basilone family got the MOH from his wife....
I thought the end was brilliant with the actors and the real guys plus their history after war. May have had a few flaws but all in all well done Mr S & Mr H !!!!! Certainly opened my eyes to what it must have been like.

Quite a sad and moving episode last night,...ruined by B-29's flying over at the very end....they looked terrible...no dihedral on the wings etc Still,.. my CGI and CAD is nothing compared to theirs so who am I to argue.

This awesome thread of the "Half-Hards" has inspired me to make an alloy clock of one. Would a side one or a frontal one be best? I figured if I make a front-on one, I could make movable landing gear too. Here's an example of a Tiger I did which I subsequently painted trainer-yellow. Attachments:

I agree with the Melbourne episode. Totally unnecessary. I was also beginning to question why the aircraft flew over in formation all the time when the soldiers were getting wiped out on the beach, instead of line astern attacks...and also the generic nature of "can't recognise them" until the last episode with the Corsairs. Finally, at last !!!!

I did an A-4K out of 3mm alloy plate to make into a clock. Did it with a 2D CAD programme. I still have the file if anyone wants me to make them one. (about 400mm long although can be any size). Attachments:
