Yes Dave, the climate has been changing since day one and will continue to do so without our intetference. It is however not possible that humanity will destroy it to an extent which will rnder the earth uninhabitable for humans as all these foolish demonstrators who attach themselves to roads, art works etc would try to have us believe

Ah, yes, the dreaded overseas funds stumbling block to ownership of a new car. In 1970 i was hopefull of purchasing a new MGB convertible from MG dealer Stewart Greer Motors in Hastings but a lack of o/s funds put paid to that for a short while until a near new second hand model came on the market. At $3990 i suspect I paid more than the new price but was happy to do so to get the vehicle i desired. Fifty two years on I still owm an MG convrrtible, not the original car I purchased however, I've had about a dozen others over the intervening years

I agree that one coast line of NZ is sinking while another is rising due to tectonic plate movement but, as I said, I'm not holding my breath waiting for sea levels to rise

Dave, people are so easily sucked in, we've witnessed that graphically during the Covid pandemic with millions of qAnon followers spouting absolute nonsense

More than 30 years ago when I was contemplating purchasing a beach house on an Asian island the doom, gloom and dispair merchants were at it then. I read predictions that sea levels where i was going to buy would increase 3 - 4 metres over the next fifty years. Well i took no notice of those so called "climate experts" and went ahead and bought the property anyway. Three decades later I'm sitting there writing this the sea level had not percepibly risen and offical records indicate sea levels here havw not risen since record keepimg commenced, although i have no idea when that was

I think ZK-ASI was based at Rotorua when owned by Reg. My memory is a bit hazy these days and I'm unable to access my records at present but I have an idea he bought it from Trevor Page, Page Plating Napier, but stand to be corrected on this

I'm interested to discover the truth about this individual as some of his tales appear too far fetched to be true

The trail of Peter Harker appears to hsve gone cold leaving me to conclude he was the product of someones furtive imagination

Beechcraft UC-45 s/n447506 was based at Rongotai aerodrome during the latter stage of WW2. On one occassion its occupants had a lucky escape when landing there in low visability it either struck a rock outcrop in Lyall Bay or contacted Moa Point hill severely damaging the starboard u/c which collapsed upon touchdown

Thomarse,in this instance I suspect the jurno has had the wool pulled over his eyes just as Peter Harker has done to the readers of his so-called exploits.
Me thinks it's all b/s

Given that Peter Harker flew, it appears, on the South Island's west coast and it is claimed was involved in venison recovery and aerial top dressing and is reputed to have crashes 3 aircraft, I am surprised that not one of this forums 7000 members, a significant proportion of whom have been in, or are actively seeking involved with aviation, have revealed they knew him.

There was a substantial amount of backlash to the clubs decision to purchase the American aircraft with one letter to the Evening Post condemning the Clubs choice but it was considered by club CFI George Bolt to be the most suitable cabin aircraft available at that time for charter work
