After two years of searching, I have been able to source photos of ZK-COY from Don Noble. These have been posted in the appropriate spot in the listing above.
That completes the set of NZ Victa Airtourer photos. Thanks everyone for you interest and help.

Just the sort of confusion that needs sorting out. Victa made life difficult for us by building both versions at the same time on the same production line. ZK-CLE - I had this recorded as c/n 128 which was an Airtourer 115. I now find that it was actually c/n 126, which indeed was a 100hp model. I have corrected this in the posting above. ZK-CLF - I have this noted as being a 115hp model from new, as does Dave Wise www.dave.wise.btinternet.co.uk/DWAirtourer.htmHowever the Airtourer list at www.cosmic.com.au/cgi-bin/ata.asp?action=REGgives it was being built as an Airtourer 100. Given the photographic and logbook evidence, I think we can safely say that ZK-CLF was built and imported as a 100hp model and converted to 115hp in later life - probably during it's time with AESL October 1977 - August 1978. I have amended my records and the posting above to reflect this. Thanks guys for the correct information - that's what it is all about.

Adding to the above, Airtourer ZK-CMF was re-registered as ZK-DLW/2 as at 9th September 2014, still with the same owner Southern Air Services Ltd., Pukekohe. However, ownership was then transfered to I L Krippner of Cromwell on the 3rd, 6 days earlier. This was, of course, not actioned until the 26th. No doubt this change was in memory of Cessna 172L ZK-DLW which was owned by Ivan's father, T J Krippner, and based at Te Awamutu from 1973 to 2001. Ownership of this Airtourer was than moved on to U-Fly (2014) Ltd., Wanaka, in July 2015. Wanaka, 30Mar2016

Ahh the memories. I trained at the Wanganui Aero Club in 1974. Trying to get a 90 hp ZK-CDN up to 3000ft took some time. A couple of Aussie wags who were on the commercial course claimed they took it up to 9500ft and spun it. I prefered ZK-CWC and also flew ZK-CZY which was a 150 HP version with a CSU. Fun days.

Hello Airtourer Fans, I have just joined your forum and have found it most interesting. Based in Oz I have owned an Airtourer for the past 46 years only just selling it a month ago. I was one of the founders of the Airtourer Association back in 1977 and presently have the role of historian. I am collecting a picture (or trying to)of every serial number of both the Aust and NZ manufactured aircraft. I note many pics of the NZ registered Airtourers on this forum and would greatly appreciate copies of any photos of NZ Airtourers and their history. We have a number of members in NZ and the UK and it is good to see our little aeroplane with many supporters. The Association web site is: www.airtourer.asn.au and my em for any pictures which will be acknowledged is; historian@airtourer.asn.au Look forward to hearing from you regards Doug

HI again, thanks for your replies and to those that have already sent an email. Phil Usher is a member of the Association and in fact has two Airtourers registered to his name, viz MOA and MUX. Members of the Association have contributed to the collection over time, however I am now interested in following up on the NZ Airtourers. What am I interested in? Not only pictures, in particular of the same aircraft with different paint schemes but with different rego's etc. Details of their fate where applicable would also be of interest. Copies of any pictures from this forum would be good, especially if the watermarks are not there. Credit will be give for those pictures supplied.
Is anyone in contact with Cliff Tait these days, I understand that he turned 90 last year and celebrated 50 years since his round the world trip in ZK-CXU.
cheers

CDN is undergoing restoration to airworthy along with ZK-VTR (ex ZK-CWE) at Classic Flyers at Tauranga Airport. ZK-CWC is in a more dismantled state and is the third member of the Classic Flyers trio. I understand that it is at GAPS Museum in Gisborne.

The Millicer Airtourer was the original wooden one, VH-FMM. This aircraft is owned now by the Museum of Victoria and it is reported to be on display at the Navy Museum at Nowra. I now find that this aircraft did indeed do a demo tour in NZ during 1962, so that must be the crate that you saw. Interesting - I never knew that it came here. Anyone have any details/recollection of this? Jim, I'd like to get a copy of your first photo of ZK-CDM - I'll be in touch. Your photo of ZK-CDN judging by the background was taken in the area now used by Airwork at Ardmore. Just been looking at the March 1961 AHSNZ Journal page 42 and noticed that VH-FMM was in attendance at the final Mangere Aerodrome pageant on 21 January 1961 before the residents transferred to Ardmore to allow the construction of the international airport. Did it visit New Zealand more than once? I see too that DC-3 ZK-AWP did an NAC farewell fly over as did SPANZ Viewmaster BYD.

Am certain VH-FMM toured only once but not sure of date. I photographed it being assembled by de Havilland at Wellington and later on Wellington Airport with Bernie Lewis about to demonstrate it

Indeed I also saw the wooden Airtourer VH-FMM at the Mangere Pageant on the 21st Jan 1961 and my old logbook shows my final flight at Mangere on that same day in PA18 ZK-BQQ.
Little did I know that a few years later I would be doing the installation drawings for the Air Conditioning in the new Control Tower at Mangere, That was around 1963 when I worked for A & T Burt Ltd, the air conditioning and plumbing contractors at the new Auckland International Airport. Back then it was a drive in the country to get to Mangere!
Funnily enough I also did the installation drawings for the ductwork at the new terminal building at Tullamarine when that was being built during Oct 1969. Ronnie Biggs was the Foreman carpenter for the partitions contractor at the same time and one day he didn't turn up and that was the day he started to make his escape to South America. I will never know if I came across him at work at the time.
Peter planewriting - I don't recall that Airtourer ever being in NZ again.
Dave - I also agree to more Zoom forums as additions to the on site gatherings!
