That would be pretty cool - sadly I don't think Wanganui's fireworks display will include a Spitfire solo

Just checked the PV270 website: due to ground conditions at Manfield the fireworks display scheduled for tonight has been postponed to Nov 4 (and may be postponed further), and the Armed Forces/Emergency Services day has also been postponed with now new date given. Sorry Feilding

They said on the radio this morning that the Armed Forces/Emergency Services day will be moved into early next year.

The reason given is that the ground is so soggy with this unseasonly persistant rain that they cant park any of the heavy equipment out on the grass and expect to get it out again!

Armed Forces & Emergency Service Open Day - Manawatu - NOW FEB 2010
This event has been postponed from OCT 09 to a date in FEB 2010 yet to be advised.

The Armed Forces and Emergency Services Open Day will be held at Manfield Park in Fielding, Manawatu. This is a free public event and will be showcasing the NZ Police, NZ Fire Service, St Johns, Civil Defence, Coast guard, NZ Army and the RNZAF. For further information please contact the RNZAF POC.
