I had read about this drama from 1979 on the Key Publishing forum where a large thread got going some time back, and today i found and watched it on Youtube. Wow, what a powerful and moving drama about the effects of war. It is about a lowly erk who finds himself in an RAF hospital and ends up in the ward with shell shocked aircrew, who he cannot at first understand. Then an event happens where their terror is recreated in front of him. My goodness it's well made. Take a look. It's in eight parts and the video quality is low but well worth watching.
