Now that's good news.
Is it too much for to hope for it to be repainted in RNZAF colours?

Most excellent news, it's been a long time, but worth the wait to hear she'll stay where she belongs.

Here are a couple of photos I have of Josephine from the early 1970's. The first one was given to me by one of the storespeople working at NZ Aerospace Industries of the aircraft as it was completed by staff at Aero Engine Services Ltd before I started there (unfortunately). This photo was taken out on the apron area in front of the AESL engine shop. The second one was of the aircraft when it was at MOTAT close to the main road (not sure of the year). Very interesting photos, Mike. According to nzdf.serials the Corsair moved from Hamilton Airport to MOTAT in 1968, and was then sold to Ed Jurist in the USA in 1971.

Josephine looks to be getting an engine run in that first photo in Mike's post.

I seem to remember that the person who gave me the photos said just that.

Rumour has it that the growl of an R2800 was heard above the Wairarapa today!

Really cool news. I’m surprised (and impressed) it was fit for a decent ferry flight to Omaka after being dormant for so long.

There is a photo on bookface. New Zealand just became a slightly better place.

A short clip from Historical Machines FreeView on Youtube.

I have chosen not to embed it as it is likely to have copywright.
You will have to copy and paste it in the address line without the speech (") marks.
There are very interesting snippets of information in each of the scenes.

Today was a good day! Frank Parker landed in NZ5648 at around 1540 to applause from the gathered crowd. Bevan Dewes and happy new Corsair owner Mike Jones flew escort in Bevan's lovely Harvard. Kudos to the JEM Aviation team and all involved in their work to make this wonderful event a reality. Wow this is such great news, be great to see her in the air in RNZAF markings alongside a RNZAF marked Kittyhawk? On that note and this maybe the wrong place to ask, any news on her former stablemate ZK-RMH?

Something I've only just noticed on Corsairs, is that their oleo's are completely compressed on the ground. Does anyone know how a pilot/ground crew determines they are serviceable before flight if there is no extension visible?

Good to see COR back again in the air again. Zac, that last pic certainly makes COR look rather large!
