Look forward to seeing your photos and hearing all bout it. Comments relate in Saturday (practice day) only Not too crowded - I was able to plonk my chair down in the 'second row', immediately to the right of the hospitality area after lunch. This was also where there was a break in the flight line (at the time, later partially filled by Harvard 92), so my view of TO/landing aircraft (and the re-enactment) was better than many. If you go to the left of the large hospitality area, then expect to have the Catalina in front of you much of the time - you will probably be near the Corsair and Kittyhawks however. At the far right is where go-karts blat around, different viewing angle is available as you an almost line up with the grass runway. Also close to taxiway, and end of sealed runway. A good selection of food drink etc, at normal event prices. Can't really say if everything will handle the higher numbers on Sunday. Commentator is obviously an enthusiast, and probably local - he was making ID's of kitset planes on the fly, in a consistent and confident manner -and a couple of small errors I noticed were corrected later. Some effort was put into getting volume etc right, and there were times when nothing was being said. Flying was as expected, very good but with some aircraft not flying on the day (e.g. Dragonfly), and others doing a single pass before landing (e.g. Spitfire). Full-on 5-ship Harvard display (with another planned for this evening) and 8-ship Yak-52. Bf-108 & Corsair flew around in the normal fashion above the WWII re-enactors (Viet Nam is scheduled for the morning I understand). Can't think of any NI warbird aircraft "missing" off-hand, excellent turn-out. Plus MX2, autogyros, Hughes 500 and more. I had a great flight down (and back!) on the Warbird Dak. Click through the photos for a few more at Flickr (including a minor problem with the spinner on the glorious white Harvard). And I commented via my Twitter account
