Very cool! There is either a big cross wind there on final approach or he is trying to keep the runway in sight right up until the last minute!

Would have loved to see Jurgis flying the La9. Watched him a few times flying the Rata...his loop with snaps on the top was particularly spectacular...wonder if he tried anything similar in the Lavochkin??

I have a feeling there was a second La9 or maybe an La11 in the west under restoration , possibly at Duxford . Does anyone know anything about it ?
