Hi to all. Just a heads-up to check out the following at the British Pathe website www.britishpathe.com/record.php?id=53086If you want more detail, click on to the stills, and select 1 second intervals. All 'watermarked' but still worth looking at. To save the stills (still can't find a way to save the video) right click, save as, and add your own file number. There is a video around with much of this footage on it, but there does appear to be more on this one! ;D ;D ;D Cheers, Pete M.

Neat footage. Looks like the cameraman hitched a ride in the back of a Dauntless. Even a shot of Gloria Lyons in there...

Thanks for posting that - great stuff Looks like most of it was shot at Piva. They must have been bl**dy hot in all that gear, especially the guy debriefing in his hat [especially for the camera I guess ]- I was flying around there in '70-71 and it was shorts weather. Helped reopen a short section of one of the coastal Piva strips but looking at Google Earth it's now been recovered by the vegetation. Just reread Miles King's autobiography in which he recounts his ditching off Piva and long swim ashore..they were made of different stuff those days!
