Here are some screen shots and videos of the flightsim addon that i've been working on for the last couple of years (!)- It is a complete replacement of the data that synthesises the FSX world in New Zealand: Water, roads, terrain, waterclass, population class, season class, 3D objects (including Marae!) and Landclass. The Land classification system is a revolutionary approach to this problem- I've managed to compile it as vector polygons instead of the traditional raster layer which means far far greater accuracy. Here are a couple of quick videos made by Robin, a partner in the project (Robin Corn of RealNZ flightsim addon fame) Check out VectorLandClass.com for more information

I think you will!
With this addon, the aim is that your 'back yard', regardless of where you live in NZ, will be recognisable. If you are a tramper, you should be able to follow that track right to the tramping hut. If you are a farmer, your shelter belts should be in the correct location. If you are an ag pilot, the airstrip you operated off last week should be there too.

If you gould do wartime NZ looking this good, I'd get into this flight gaming stuff. I am not that interested in the modern stuff (though i like looking at it and it looks good) but I'd love to be able to fly a P-40 or Hudson around a realistic simulated NZ of 1942.

Ive just posted a wee teaser video of VLC in action since we are hoping to release this month.....It features some pretty average flying haha (its hard to fly, record, and move the camera at the same time!)

Stunning stuff!! That Strikemaster looks so cool. That river looks a bit clean, can't be any dairy farms round there [ducks for cover] :-) Does this have towns too? Can you perhaps fly a Hudson over Cambridge for me?

Brilliant!! I can see my Mum's house ;D
That large area in the foreground where the race track can be seen, used to be Cambridge's aerodrome by the way.
