I have received this email today. it seems almost too good to be true so perhaps it is spam. but I thought I'd pass it on anyway in case any of the aerobatic pilots here can actually take advantage of this opportunity. I noted the other emails it was sent to were aviation related so if it is spam it's very well directed. Here it is:

The Exciting Opportunity on to an Aerobatics Festival in China

Hello;
This is an invitation for a trip to China this Fall to participate in an air show, all expenses paid by the organizers!
Please excuse this mass email to your organization or personal email address: I am writing on behalf of the organizers of an international air show and hot air balloon festival being held this October 15-17 in China.
The organizers are inviting aerobatics teams and hot air balloon teams to participate at the festival all expenses paid, which includes airfare for two (pilot plus assistant, include two extra team leaders) from their home to central China; freight shipment costs for their equipment; local transportation; and accommodation and meals. Each plane also will receive $5,000USD recompense for the performance. At least the organizers need an aerobatics team with 8 to 10 planes. Please see the attached invitation.
"Shaanxi Weinan Luyanghu International General Aviation Festival" is expected to attract over 100,000 spectators to its location in the northwest province of Shaanxi, China, famous for the Terracotta Warriors.

I did a Google for that festival, and nothing came up. A bit odd when it's only a couple of months away.

An event like that would require a years planning at least. Who are the organisers, what is their experience and who is underwriting/sponsoring it?
Plus no website = no airshow.
