I went to see The World's Fastest Indian today. It is absolutely brilliant. I realy enjoyed it. Roger Donaldson has certainly done a wonderful job of bringing this really great ture story to life on film.
And Anthony Hopkins is just superb. I have never been a huge fan of his, he's good but I have never raved about him. But in this, I really wared to him. He has said many times it was the best role and best acting he's done, and I can see why.
I highly recommend this film and rate it 9/10. A really great feel good, humorous story well made and bringing a piece of forgotten history to life for future generations.

Sir Anthony Hopkins was on Letterman last week romoting the film, and it doesn't open in the USA till Feb 5th, several months behind us. However I just saw him on the Aussie news on prime (9 News) and it doesn't open in Aussie till April 9th!! It'll be on DVD here before it's seen there I reckon.

execellent, excellent film.....saw in Wellington when back in NZ over Xmas. After the film went to Te Papa and saw the replica "Munro Special" built for the film. ..... could Mr Donaldson be convinced to make a similar film about Richard Pearce ?

Did anyone else see the superb documentary last week about Bert Munro? It included the making of the film and also footage of the original 1970's documentary Donaldson made about the real Munro. It was very good.
I see this film is only just opening in the UK and USA. I hope it does well abroad. It was a huge success here in NZ but also has international appeal.
Sir Anthony Hopkins was also on Dave Letterman's show last week talking about the film and it came over very well. He certainly seems to love NZ.
