Auster Doors and parts

Hi guys

Bit of a long shot, but I was wondering if anyone has or knows where there might be a pair of Auster doors suitable for my T7 rebuild lying about?

Mine are pretty stuffed and was thinking it has to be more cost effective to try to track down some better ones before I go any further with them......all options/donations/suggestions greatly appreciated.

Also, a set of good wing tanks, or if anyone knows of any Auster parts out there that might be of use to help get this ol girl up and flying again would be much appreciated.

Just throwing the idea out there, figure I have nothing to loose???

Hi Anthony
I have an Auster back seat. It is the bench type with a folding back rest. I restored it 20 years ago when I had my AOP9. It is in VGC, but don't know what model it is from. Has a data plate so can provide part number info. PM me for pics etc. if you are interested.

Thanks very much! Unfortunately this is not the correct type for my plane. Mine has the single military observers swivel chair in the back. Which I have fortunately, as they are pretty hard to find.

Thanks Baz, I did go and take a look at her. ZK-BQL ex RNZAF NZ1701. I came VERY close to buying her. But I have enough on my plate with mine. I have sent you a pic of her that I took last week.

Maybe a good project for you!

BQL has sold, but you were looking around the 8k mark.

I am a member of the Auster club, email thingy............will look into this a bit further.
