Where did you take the photos of the museums Avenger? I was on the restoration team (the first one in 79/80) and was still at the museum when she was restored again as NZ2521. Nice photos! ;D

Thanks, baz. I'm not sure if it's '86 or '89, when I was on course at 3TTS. 2521 might've been undergoing minor work, IIRC, or was outside the hangar to give the team some room. I'll hopefully have one in 1/48th to do, later this yr. I guess that makes you my new best friend!
Regards

Always needing a new friend ha ha. Looks like you have a photo of my friend Anthony's Auster as well. Oh and were the Devon photos taken after their retirement? The photos of NZ2504/2521 were probably 86 as that was when we opened up the position for the turret and then she got painted by Air New Zealand. (I've got photos of that in a thread of mine on here still in her target tug markings being reworked for the new paint scheme)

Baz, the Devon pics were collected over the '84 - '90-ish period. Yes, they're all 'pastured', save a couple in 4TTS hangar when I was Mech UT. I forget which were at Woody and which are Wigram.
We had a blast taxying around in our 'ground handling' phase. The office has less room than the Spit. My friend's Dad is ex-RNZAF, transport and 41 Sqn, and remembers experiencing an engine fire in a Devon. He proved the fact you can egress the Devon in 4 secs, cockpit to tarmac.
