Not sure if this was 1972 or 1973 but the Vulcan was a surprise. Blunties were pretty new and came complete with ground staff in white overalls. Ceres BZO was on display along with Avenger NZ2505. Both were stored at the airfield before moving to Gracefield and then Silverstream. Please excuse the quality - cameras were expensive for schoolboys.

Great stuff, that must be the Vulcan that came to the Hamilton Airshow in March 1973 which we discussed a couple of weeks ago.

I know what you mean about cameras being " expensive for schoolboys " back then . Those would be the days when it cost a weeks allowance to get a colour film developed ( b&w was a bit cheaper ) . Nice shots though , great to see .
