NZ soldier injured in Afghanistan on way home

A New Zealand soldier has been brought back to the country after being injured in an accident in Afghanistan.

The Defence Force says he was hurt when a wall he was standing next to collapsed.

The man was transferred to a Coalition hospital in Germany before being brought home.

The Defence Force says he suffered a broken jaw and a broken leg and is receiving medical care. He is expected to make a full recovery.

unfortunate way to be injured and sent home, I know someone who was also taken out due to no combat related injuries and according to him it sucks but it's "nice to get out of dodge" as he put it ........ hope he gets well soon.
