Do you think it would be good to have an online source of all the aircraft (Spitfires, Hurricanes, Lancasters, Typhoons, Tempests, Sunderlands, Beauforts...etc) that were used by the RNZAF squadrons in the European campaign? Are there any plans by you or your colleagues to add these to your excellent adf serials site Ivan? This is the sort of thing I mean, like you chaps have done so well with the NZ/Pacific based aircraft here www.adf-serials.com/nz-serials/The European war aircraft have been sadly neglected in this field and have a huge history. I don't mean all planes flown by RNZAF crews, just those that were on charge with No's 75, 485, 486, 487, 488, 489 and 490 Squadrons. It would be a difficult task to piece together each airframe's history and fate, but it would be a brilliant resource. Does anyone else think so?

I've thought about it Dave and have some tabs on some of the information. It is an enormous job and getting the time to do the research and all the typing is the thing. I've got Wellingtons on the ADF site and will be trying to update the generic information there sometime this year. Really to do the NZ Squadrons in the RAF needs a whole new section on the site. I'll talk to the owner about it in time.

Thanks Ivan, it is good to hear that it is being considered at least, but I can see that yes, it would be a huge job. Just the massive number of Lancasters and Stirlings that 75 Sqn went through would be a mission.
If you decide to go for it, I'd be keen to help out. Cheers.
