Awesome photos! Mike will like the shot of ZK-BOF. Im quite a fan of the old Central Airspread colours. Believe they also operated BHK and CLO also at the time. Was not aware ZK-CYZ was ever based at tauranga. Photos please James....

1980 there should have been at least 3 James Fletchers parked at Tauranga, with Derek Williams,Rod Dahlberg and Dave Cohu doing the driving. Big change to today when I hear the one left may be on borrowed time.

Spot on Alan, any photo of BOF is worth a Karma point from me FuryFB11!!!! Very handy shot for the paint scheme althoug she is looking a bit weary here... Loving the other pictures as well, awesome! Great to see this thread going again, I was feeling that it was getting a bit quiet

Hi Guys Nice thread, good to see the trusty old 400's still have a strong following. ZK-CMZ and SAJ are still in the bay,I am buying them, CMZ will have an overhauled engine put in it, and sent back into service, ZK-SAJ will be dismantled and stored for future use or parts (most prob parts). CMZ should be back in the skies in the Bay around Feb-Apr will post photos if anyones interested

I dont think the Fletcher will ever die! haha
Great shots, love seeing the old Tauranga James Fletchers. Derek Williams I remember him taking me for a taxi around many years ago In ZK-BII, Although this wasnt a James machine.
iflylo - These were the machines that were on trade me some time back ex Johnson ones? Im a huge fan of the 400 series Fletchers and will be great to see some photos and hear that CMZ will be flying again.
Cheers.

Nice work iflylo, please do share I'm very jealous, Fletcher ownership for me is - for the time being - limited to models only, and whatever parts I can scrounge from our scrap bin! The more photos the better. If anyone has more photos of ZK-CBG in addition to the ones flyernzl posted some time back, I would love to see them. James, I'm glad to hear it! I imagine the dorsal would catch the wind a bit, and I think you're right re that being the first Walter fin we've had fitted. Looking forward to seeing it in place! Hope the red and white has been painted, too!

Hi - there is a thread pinned near the top of the main page of this ''Civil Aviation yesterday and today page'' on how to post pics, I find using photobucket is easiest for me. Nice the planes are keeping in the family and to hear shes staying piston powered Havn't seen many photos of CMZ around Id love to see any of ZK-BII when was painted in yellow in BOP rugby club colours circa mid 80s or Superairs ZK-CBA before going turbine Cheers.

From memory The Topdressers 1990 has a photo of BII in that scheme, sadly my copy is at my girlfriend's house but I'll get it from her tomorrow after work. I believe there's a shot or two of CBA in SuperAir colours as a 400 in Lou Forhecz' book.
